Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden title for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has had a difficult year, managing just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in particular - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial trophy following the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court since March of 2023.
Victory also means he has secured 21 victories at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event previously this season.
The player's counter-punching strategy and recurring emotional displays on court had caused commentators to wonder if his capacity to compete at the highest level was concluded.
But the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to force a decider.
He rescued 4 early chances in a competitive third set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner earned victory with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
